Campaign Story

As many of you know I am a big supporter of the youth in Goshen. I enjoy working with our schools to help connect with our future leaders.

I named 2017 as the, “Year of Goodness.” Due to generous donations from community members we were able to raise $21,000 which was evenly distributed to our 12 public and private schools in Goshen. The students decided how to use this money to create acts of kindness within our community. This was a very popular initiative and the students had a great time deciding how to help others.

I would love to see this program continue. While we already have $8,040, we still need to raise more before the start of the 2018-2019 school year.

As I was thinking of a good way to raise money, I started thinking about the fact that so many of you enjoy commenting on my hair. If $1500 can be raised before 10am on Thursday, May 10th I will cut off the Mayoral man-bun.

Donations will only count if submitted here or if the check/cash is dropped off at City Hall before 10am this Thursday. At that time I will post the amount raised (we won’t have any updates on donations) and if you have met or surpassed the $1500 I will go to Salon J and post pictures of the man-bun removal.

(Every dollar donated will go directly to the Year of Goodness Fund for the school acts of kindness program.)

Having fun,

Mayor Jeremy Stutsman

    Thanks for your support!

    From the Goshen Funded team:

    To all supporters,

Thank you so much for contributing to the Year of Goodness fund (and a mayoral haircut).

When Mayor Stutsman gave us the green light to set this campaign up for him yesterday to enable online donations, we thought the campaign would easily overshoot its goal and that funds raised here would be the icing on the cake. As it turns out, your collective donations ($370) made a big difference and brought the overall amount raised to $1,505 – clearing the goal by just $5. Good job!

We hope to continue to support the City in gathering more funds for Goshen students to distribute through community Acts of Kindness. In the meantime, thanks again for your support and be sure to complement the Mayor on his new do.

    with gratitude,

    Goshen Funded
